• Payment information: cardholder name, card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address, collected to authorize and process your rental transaction.
• Rental details: pick-up and drop-off locations, rental dates, selected vehicle, insurance option, toll program selection, and booking reference.
• Transaction records: invoices, payment confirmations, and reservation history linked to your account.

Your information is used exclusively to operate our rental services and deliver a seamless experience. Specifically, we use your data to:

• Process and confirm your vehicle reservation and generate your booking reference and QR code.
• Verify your identity and validate your driver’s license before vehicle handover.
• Process payments securely and issue digital receipts and invoices.
• Communicate with you regarding your reservation, including confirmations, reminders, and updates.
• Coordinate pick-up and drop-off logistics, including airport delivery arrangements.
• Sync reservation dates with our internal office calendar to ensure vehicle availability and prevent double-bookings.

• Comply with legal, regulatory, and insurance requirements applicable to vehicle rentals in Puerto Rico.

We take the security of your payment information seriously. All payment transactions are processed through secure, encrypted channels using industry-standard security protocols. Your card information is transmitted using SSL/TLS encryption and is handled only by authorized personnel within our organization.

We employ verified security measures consistent with practices used by leading rental and e-commerce platforms to protect your financial data. Payment details are accessed exclusively by our authorized administrative team for the purpose of processing your transaction and are never sold, rented, or shared with unauthorized third parties.

A security deposit hold may be placed on your card at the time of pick-up, in accordance with our rental terms. This hold is released at the end of the rental period and refunded within 7–14 business days, depending on your financial institution.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With our internal office team at jfautosales01@gmail.com and rental@jfcarrentalpr.com for reservation processing, payment handling, and customer support.
• With Google Calendar services to sync reservation dates with our office calendar and invite the relevant office email addresses.
• With email delivery providers to send you confirmation receipts, invoices, and support communications.
• With insurance partners or regulatory authorities when required by law, court order, or to comply with Puerto Rico vehicle rental regulations.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to confidentiality protections.

We retain your personal and transactional information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, including to provide our services, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Rental records, identity verification documents, and payment transaction records are typically retained for a minimum period required by Puerto Rico regulations and our insurance providers, after which they are securely deleted or anonymized.

You have the right to control your personal information. Upon request, we will provide you with access to the personal data we hold about you and allow you to correct, update, or request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
