Rental Rules & Policies

El presente documento contiene todas las reglas, políticas y cláusulas del contrato de arrendamiento de JF Car Rental. Al completar y pagar su reservación, el cliente reconoce haber leído, entendido y aceptado todos los términos aquí descritos.

This document contains all rules, policies, and clauses of the JF Car Rental rental agreement. By completing and paying for your reservation, the customer acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted all terms described herein.

Depósito de Seguridad

Security Deposit

ESSe realizará una retención temporal de $250.00 USD en la tarjeta de crédito del cliente al momento de la entrega del vehículo. El depósito de seguridad podrá ser utilizado, total o parcialmente, para cubrir cualquier daño ocasionado al vehículo o a la propiedad de JF Car Rental durante el período de alquiler, así como cualquier cargo aplicable por limpieza extraordinaria o daños cosméticos a la unidad.

ESPara efectos de esta disposición, se considerará limpieza extraordinaria, entre otros casos, la presencia excesiva de arena en el interior del vehículo, manchas en la tapicería, derrames, basura, pelo de mascotas, olores fuertes, residuos de humo, lodo excesivo en la carrocería o cualquier condición que requiera una limpieza adicional fuera del uso normal del vehículo.

ESAsimismo, el depósito podrá aplicarse a daños cosméticos a la unidad, incluyendo, sin limitarse a, rayones, raspaduras, golpes, abolladuras, daños en pintura, molduras, interiores, cristales, aros, gomas u otros componentes del vehículo.

ESAdicionalmente, se estipula un DEDUCIBLE POR DAÑOS de hasta $500.00 USD por cualquier daño ocasionado al vehículo, incluyendo, sin limitarse a, daños a la carrocería, cristales, golpes (dents), derrames en el interior que afecten la tapicería, así como cualquier tipo de rayón o marca. Este deducible se cobrará APARTE del Depósito de Seguridad de $250.00 USD que siempre se retiene.

ESJF Car Rental se reserva el derecho de retener parcial o totalmente el depósito de seguridad, sin obligación de devolución, cuando los daños, cargos de limpieza extraordinaria u otras obligaciones relacionadas con el alquiler igualen o excedan el monto del depósito. Si los cargos resultan menores al depósito, se devolverá al cliente únicamente el balance restante, una vez completada la inspección final de la unidad.

ENA temporary hold of $250.00 USD will be placed on the customer's credit card at the time of vehicle delivery. The security deposit may be used, in whole or in part, to cover any damage caused to the vehicle or to JF Car Rental's property during the rental period, as well as any applicable charge for extraordinary cleaning or cosmetic damage to the unit.

ENFor purposes of this provision, extraordinary cleaning shall include, among other cases, excessive sand inside the vehicle, upholstery stains, spills, trash, pet hair, strong odors, smoke residue, excessive mud on the bodywork, or any condition requiring additional cleaning beyond normal vehicle use.

ENLikewise, the deposit may be applied to cosmetic damage to the unit, including, without limitation, scratches, scuffs, dents, dings, paint damage, moldings, interiors, glass, rims, tires, or other vehicle components.

ENAdditionally, a DAMAGE DEDUCTIBLE of up to $500.00 USD is stipulated for any damage caused to the vehicle, including, without limitation, body damage, glass, dents, interior spills affecting upholstery, as well as any type of scratch or mark. This deductible will be charged SEPARATELY from the $250.00 USD Security Deposit that is always retained.

ENJF Car Rental reserves the right to retain the security deposit in part or in full, with no obligation to refund, when damages, extraordinary cleaning charges, or other rental-related obligations equal or exceed the deposit amount. If the charges are less than the deposit, only the remaining balance will be returned to the customer once the final inspection of the unit is completed.

Peajes Consumidos

Consumed Tolls

ESEl programa de peajes (Toll Program) tiene un cargo único (one-time fee) de $15.00 USD, aplicado una sola vez por reservación. Adicionalmente, todo peaje utilizado o consumido por el cliente durante el período de alquiler será cobrado al final de la reserva por el valor real del costo de cada peaje incurrido. Debido a que las transacciones de peaje pueden reflejarse varios días después de finalizado el alquiler, el cliente autoriza expresamente a JF Car Rental a realizar cargos posteriores al método de pago registrado por el cargo único del programa de peajes y por el monto total de los peajes consumidos, según el valor real de cada peaje.

ENThe Toll Program carries a one-time fee of $15.00 USD, applied once per reservation. Additionally, every toll used or consumed by the customer during the rental period will be charged at the end of the rental for the actual cost of each toll incurred. Because toll transactions may appear several days after the rental ends, the customer expressly authorizes JF Car Rental to make subsequent charges to the registered payment method for the one-time Toll Program fee and for the total amount of consumed tolls, based on the actual cost of each toll.

Política de Rastreo GPS y Privacidad

GPS Tracking and Privacy Policy

ESJF Car Rental instala y utiliza dispositivos de rastreo por GPS en todos sus vehículos. Esta política no pretende violar privacidad alguna del cliente, sino garantizar la seguridad de nuestros vehículos y la del propio cliente durante el período de alquiler.

ESAl firmar el contrato de renta, el cliente accede voluntariamente a nuestra política de que todo vehículo será rastreado y monitoreado durante el período de alquiler, incluyendo su ubicación, recorrido y millaje recorrido.

ESEl cliente se compromete a no exceder un millaje seguro y razonable, conforme a las leyes de Puerto Rico y de acuerdo con la zonificación y el millaje requerido por ley. Cualquier uso del vehículo fuera de los términos acordados, en violación de la zonificación aplicable o excediendo el millaje permitido por ley, podrá ser objeto de cargos adicionales conforme al contrato de renta.

ESDe exceder los límites de millaje o velocidad requeridos por ley, el cliente pudiera incurrir en la terminación automática del contrato de renta y el recogido del vehículo por parte de JF Car Rental, por incumplir con los estándares establecidos por la compañía y las leyes de Puerto Rico.

ENJF Car Rental installs and uses GPS tracking devices in all of its vehicles. This policy is not intended to violate any privacy of the customer, but rather to guarantee the security of our vehicles and of the customer during the rental period.

ENBy signing the rental contract, the customer voluntarily consents to our policy that every vehicle will be tracked and monitored during the rental period, including its location, route, and mileage driven.

ENThe customer agrees not to exceed a safe and reasonable mileage, in accordance with the laws of Puerto Rico and per the zoning and mileage required by law. Any use of the vehicle outside the agreed terms, in violation of the applicable zoning, or exceeding the mileage permitted by law, may be subject to additional charges pursuant to the rental contract.

ENShould the customer exceed the mileage or speed limits required by law, the customer may incur automatic termination of the rental contract and repossession of the vehicle by JF Car Rental for failing to comply with the standards established by the company and the laws of Puerto Rico.

Disponibilidad de Vehículo

Vehicle Availability

ESSe hace constar que el vehículo reservado está sujeto a disponibilidad. JF Car Rental se reserva el derecho de sustituir el vehículo por otro de igual valor o tamaño, de la misma categoría o clase, sin cargo adicional al cliente. No se garantiza el mismo modelo reservado, ya que la disponibilidad puede variar según el flujo de temporada y la demanda. Esta sustitución se realizará únicamente en casos de fuerza mayor, mantenimiento programado o indisponibilidad del modelo original. El cliente acepta esta condición al completar y pagar esta reservación.

ENIt is hereby stated that the reserved vehicle is subject to availability. JF Car Rental reserves the right to substitute the vehicle with another of equal value or size, of the same category or class, at no additional cost to the customer. The same reserved model is not guaranteed, as availability may vary according to seasonal flow and demand. This substitution will only occur in cases of force majeure, scheduled maintenance, or unavailability of the original model. The customer accepts this condition upon completing and paying for this reservation.

Método de Pago

Payment Method

ESJF Car Rental únicamente acepta tarjetas de crédito (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) como método de pago para reservaciones, depósitos de seguridad y cargos adicionales. No se aceptan tarjetas de débito, efectivo ni otros métodos de pago alternativos. El cliente debe presentar una tarjeta de crédito válida a su nombre al momento de recoger el vehículo.

ENJF Car Rental only accepts credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) as the payment method for reservations, security deposits, and additional charges. Debit cards, cash, and other alternative payment methods are not accepted. The customer must present a valid credit card in their name at the time of vehicle pickup.

Extensión de Alquiler

Rental Extension

ESSi el cliente desea extender el período de alquiler del vehículo, deberá notificar a JF Car Rental antes de las 3:00 PM (hora de Puerto Rico) del día de la extensión o de la fecha programada de entrega/devolución. De no realizar la notificación antes de dicho horario, el cliente incurrirá automáticamente en una penalidad de $25.00 USD, la cual será cargada al método de pago registrado en la reservación. La notificación de extensión debe realizarse llamando al (787) 881-8080 o enviando un correo a rental@jfcarrentalpr.com. La extensión queda sujeta a disponibilidad del vehículo y a la aprobación de JF Car Rental.

ENIf the customer wishes to extend the rental period of the vehicle, they must notify JF Car Rental before 3:00 PM (Puerto Rico time) on the day of the extension or the scheduled delivery/return date. Failure to notify before this time will automatically incur a $25.00 USD penalty, which will be charged to the payment method on file for the reservation. Extension notifications must be made by calling (787) 881-8080 or emailing rental@jfcarrentalpr.com. The extension is subject to vehicle availability and approval by JF Car Rental.

Inspección del Vehículo y Cargo de Limpieza (Cleaning Fee)

Vehicle Inspection and Cleaning Fee

  • ESEl vehículo se inspecciona detalladamente al momento de la entrega al cliente y nuevamente al momento de su devolución. El cliente reconoce que recibió el vehículo en condiciones óptimas de limpieza y funcionamiento.
  • ESEstá estrictamente prohibido fumar dentro del vehículo. Cualquier evidencia de fumar (olor a tabaco, quemaduras o ceniza) conlleva un cargo automático de $250.00 USD (Cleaning Fee) por limpieza profunda y desodorización.
  • ESEl vehículo debe devolverse en las mismas condiciones de limpieza en que fue entregado. No se permite la entrega del vehículo con: arena acumulada en sus interiores, lodo o tierra, o interiores manchados y con derrames.
  • ESSi el vehículo se devuelve en condiciones de suciedad distintas a las que fue entregado (arena, lodo, interiores manchados, derrames de líquidos, restos de comida o basura), se aplicará un cargo de $250.00 USD (Cleaning Fee) por limpieza detallada.
  • ESCualquier daño o condición de suciedad identificada al devolver el vehículo que no estuviera presente al momento de la entrega será responsabilidad exclusiva del cliente.
  • ENThe vehicle is thoroughly inspected at the time of delivery to the customer and again upon its return. The customer acknowledges receiving the vehicle in optimal conditions of cleanliness and functionality.
  • ENSmoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. Any evidence of smoking (tobacco odor, burns, or ash) incurs an automatic $250.00 USD charge (Cleaning Fee) for deep cleaning and deodorization.
  • ENThe vehicle must be returned in the same cleanliness conditions as when it was delivered. The vehicle may not be returned with: accumulated sand in its interiors, mud or dirt, or stained and spilled interiors.
  • ENIf the vehicle is returned in dirty conditions different from how it was delivered (sand, mud, stained interiors, liquid spills, food residue, or trash), a $250.00 USD charge (Cleaning Fee) will be applied for detailed cleaning.
  • ENAny damage or dirty condition identified upon returning the vehicle that was not present at the time of delivery will be the exclusive responsibility of the customer.

ESAl firmar o aceptar este recibo, el cliente reconoce y acepta las políticas de inspección, limpieza y depósito de seguridad descritas en este documento.

ENBy signing or accepting this receipt, the customer acknowledges and accepts the inspection, cleaning, and security deposit policies described in this document.

Política de Cancelación

Cancellation Policy

  • ESTodo vehículo se alquila por un período mínimo de 48 horas. No se aceptan reservaciones por un período inferior al mínimo establecido.
  • ESToda cancelación debe realizarse con al menos 48 horas de anticipación a la fecha y hora programadas para la recogida del vehículo. Las cancelaciones efectuadas dentro de este plazo se considerarán tardías.
  • ESEn caso de No-Show (no presentarse a la recogida) o de cancelación dentro de las últimas 48 horas previas a la fecha y hora de recogida, se retendrá el costo completo de la reservación como penalidad, sin derecho a reembolso, crédito ni devolución alguna.
  • ESUna vez el vehículo haya sido entregado y aceptado por el cliente, no se realizarán reembolsos, créditos ni devoluciones por el tiempo restante de la reserva, aunque el vehículo sea devuelto antes de la fecha y hora originalmente acordadas.
  • ENEvery vehicle is rented for a minimum period of 48 hours. Reservations for less than the established minimum are not accepted.
  • ENAll cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled vehicle pickup date and time. Cancellations made within this period will be considered late.
  • ENIn the event of a No-Show (failure to appear for pickup) or a cancellation within the last 48 hours prior to the pickup date and time, the full cost of the reservation shall be retained as a penalty, with no refund, credit, or return of any kind.
  • ENOnce the vehicle has been delivered and accepted by the customer, no refunds, credits, or returns will be issued for the remaining time of the reservation, even if the vehicle is returned before the originally agreed date and time.

ESAl completar la reservación, el cliente reconoce y acepta esta política de cancelación, No-Show y período mínimo de alquiler.

ENBy completing the reservation, the customer acknowledges and accepts this cancellation, No-Show, and minimum rental period policy.

Política de No Reembolso y Devolución Anticipada

No-Refund and Early Return Policy

  • ESUna vez el vehículo haya sido entregado y aceptado por el cliente, no se realizarán reembolsos, créditos ni devoluciones por el tiempo restante de la reserva, aunque el vehículo sea devuelto antes de la fecha y hora originalmente acordadas.
  • ESNo se acepta la devolución del vehículo antes del tiempo pautado en la reservación. Si el cliente decide retornar el vehículo anticipadamente, el monto pagado por los días no utilizados no será reembolsado ni acreditado para futuras rentas.
  • ESEl pago procesado por esta reservación es definitivo. Al completar el pago, el cliente reconoce y acepta que los fondos han sido recibidos por JF Car Rental y que no procede ningún reembolso parcial ni total, salvo en los casos expresamente contemplados en la Política de Cancelación aplicable únicamente antes de la entrega del vehículo.
  • ENOnce the vehicle has been delivered and accepted by the customer, no refunds, credits, or returns will be issued for the remaining time of the reservation, even if the vehicle is returned before the originally agreed date and time.
  • ENReturning the vehicle before the scheduled time in the reservation is not accepted. If the customer decides to return the vehicle early, the amount paid for the unused days will not be refunded or credited for future rentals.
  • ENThe payment processed for this reservation is final. By completing the payment, the customer acknowledges and accepts that the funds have been received by JF Car Rental and that no partial or total refund will be processed, except in cases expressly contemplated in the Cancellation Policy applicable only before vehicle delivery.

ESAl procesar el pago de esta reservación, el cliente declara estar conforme y de acuerdo con todas las políticas, reglas y términos establecidos por JF Car Rental.

ENBy processing the payment for this reservation, the customer declares to be in agreement with all policies, rules, and terms established by JF Car Rental.

Reconocimiento del Cliente / Customer Acknowledgment

ESAl completar y pagar esta reservación, el cliente reconoce que ha leído, entendido y acepta todas las políticas, reglas y regulaciones de alquiler establecidas por JF Car Rental, incluyendo pero no limitándose a la política de Depósito de Seguridad, Cargo de Limpieza, Cancelación, No Reembolso, Programa de Peajes, Rastreo GPS y Privacidad, Sustitución de Vehículo, Método de Pago y Extensión de Alquiler. El cliente autoriza a JF Car Rental a procesar el depósito de seguridad y todos los cargos aplicables a la tarjeta de crédito proporcionada.

ENBy completing and paying for this reservation, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to all rental policies, rules, and regulations set forth by JF Car Rental, including but not limited to the Security Deposit, Cleaning Fee, Cancellation, No-Refund, Toll Program, GPS Tracking and Privacy, Vehicle Substitution, Payment Method, and Rental Extension policies. The customer authorizes JF Car Rental to process the security deposit and all applicable charges to the credit card provided.
